I made this flyer for Angelika Loderer, an artist in Vienna, Austria. She asked for me to draw the group, which includes her standing with the muddy foot and me sitting holding the eggs, along with her gallerist and two curators, at the edge of a marsh. She then listed props she wanted, including woodpeckers, books, beers, and the fire. Drawing the trees was new for me and I’m proud of how they turned out, especially the woodpecker holes and spring blossoms. I’m also proud of the airbrushing which helps to achieve the sense of twilight in the image.
The drawing was made with technical pen on Bristol, scanned, and colored in photoshop on a Cintiq pro 24.
