Big Woods for Amazonia: A fundraiser for the Rainforest Action Network by Central Arkansas artists.
In 2019, in response to the raging forest fires in the Amazon Rainforest, I invited a group of Arkansas Artists to collaborate on a t-shirt to honor Amazon Rainforest species. All proceeds benefited RAN's Protect an Acre Program. At our benefit party, Professor Matt Moran from Hendrix College, in Conway Arkansas, spoke about Arkansas's relationship to the Amazon, naming a variety of migratory bird species that occupy both the Big Woods Nature Preserve in Arkansas's Mississippi River Valley and the Amazon itself.
